On 24th April 1972 Mira Alfassa - The Mother entrusted Michel Montecrossa, the founder of Mirapuri - the City of Peace and Future Man in Europe, with the work of building up Filmaur Multimedia. The Mother gave him a card with the name Filmaur written by herself - Filmaur being a combination of the word 'Film' and the kabbalistic word 'Aur' meaning the Divine Light - and authorized him to produce movies, multimedia content and picture events on the basis of photos, films, videos, drawings, paintings and written documents of herself and Sri Aurobindo for the whole world. For doing this work she gave him a great number of documents, artworks, movies and photos , many of them blessed with her signature, and the right to preserve and use them for the work. Since then Filmaur is carefully restoring and digitally remastering all the material given by The Mother for the benefit of everyone interested in Sri Aurobindo and herself. The copyright for all restored and remastered film-, sound-, video-, photographic and graphic content was entrusted by The Mother to Filmaur Multimedia.
